Lawyer: "it's an open and shut case we got this".

Two weeks later...
"The judge don't like me. It'd be best if you represent yourself now pay your bill on the way out buhbye.".
Slow down dude. 15 over...They're not going to cut you any breaks. Pay the fine.

Jeez...When I clicked on this thread, I thought the speeding case was still being tried (after all it is Eastville) after three years! The wheels of justice turn slowly in Eastville.

In Eastville? I'm guessing that this occurred on US13. I'm not sure that the town juristiction of Eastville takes in the highway...I"m a big fan of Custis, Dix, and Lewis.

It was not easy for me to choose between a law firm and a private lawyer. The law firm is more transparent. And I could be sure that my case would be handled by the person I am negotiating and signing the contract with. The organization of lawyers has the opportunity to conduct a larger number of cases and use different specialists. In addition, the quality of work of each of the lawyers in the Florida law firm is controlled by the firm's management, and it is very pleasant for the client.

My case was not traffic I sued my boss. He made an awful mistake and we built on top of his goof. Tear it down...do over and he didn't even want to pay me once much less twice.
Court clusterfork. Judge forced payment of the amount we originally agreed upon. He (my boss) also agreed to make it right when we renegotiated prior to the demo.
I got shafted all legal like. At least I got paid once.
Lawyers suck. No hearts. No soul.
They lie too. Snakes in suits.

The fact that you have not had such problems gives you every chance to win the case. But you must understand that a lawyer cannot fully influence the result; it happens that the case is already lost or the opposite side has indisputable evidence. A good lawyer delves into the client's problem and studies the documents. The client offers solutions and chooses which way he will solve the problem. If you need a recommendation, I could recommend swpdxlaw.com, to whom I turned a year ago, and they helped me greatly.
