Easy way to prevent Avocodos from over ripening

I usually buy a 5-pack of avacadoes.
2 go on the kitchen counter to ripen.
3 go in the refrigerator, they do not ripen until they replace the ones on the kitchen counter.

Leaving the seed in a half cut Avocado and putting in the fridge, slows down browning.

When she makes guacamole there are always pits/seeds in it, she says it helps prevent the browning…says her Abuelita called them “mothers”.
