Elgin Area

Howdy all, my brother who's a a non hunting dork lol, moved to Elgin last year. I asked him if there was any good waterfowl hunting around there and he doesn't have a clue.
He's planning a family reunion next July so I'll be in the area for a few days to check things out. If there is good hunting in the area it would give me an excuse to come visit him more often. Not looking for spots, but just generally wanna know if there is decent action on birds.

That part of the state doesn't have a lot of water; mostly rangeland and farm fields. Popular pheasant area though.
