and the latest is OPEC is cutting back as expected right before July 4th holiday season and if you are lucky enough like me to live in a lib tard state like Maryland they just announced they are adding a .10 inflation rate tax to the price of gasoline so we get hit with a double whammy on price increase.
No problem, just buy an EV and plug it into the wind turbine in your back yard.

Interesting. Taylor Wilson in 2013 here:

Then today where are all the small nuclear plants??? Well they are coming but are up against a strict (over) regulation from the govt.

I think that a lot of the greenies are just ignorant of the need for ‘baseload’ power.
This is nuclear/coal/natural gas/hydrogen/hydroelectric. These work regardless of weather or time of day.
The idea of the greenies of solar plus wind plus battery storage is a fairy tale. The amount of batteries and inverters and cost is so astronomical as to be ridiculous.

Nuclear is the best available option for true baseload real power generation imo.

Fwiw I worked at a plant for a while that did a pilot project that brought in Tesla batteries and inverters with the idea of discharging when electric cost was high (peak) and charging when it was low cost (off peak.)

The project failed and the plant removed the batteries and inverters after 6 years.
No real benefit was realized.

Huh?
Here’s an article in popular science on him from this year.
Apparently works with govt in defense technology now?

He created a nuclear fusion reactor in his garage at age 14.

That effort was in 2012. What has he done since? Looks like he has disappeared.

True.
I think one article I linked above mentioned he worked some in the defense industry.
Perhaps he’s behind closed doors now OR perhaps he was a kid prodigy that flamed out.
I don’t know about him directly.
He seemed to have viable ideas…I don’t know if he’s created nothing tangible that we see due to market conditions or poor reasoning.
My opinion is it’s the former but I have no way to know.
