Hunted this week north of Saskatoon and the weather was in the mud 70’s until Wednesday. Did not see huge groups of migrators all week. There were pockets of Ducks, darks and snows that we did extremely well despite the conditions and numbers. Great experience and I believe the migration is 2-3 weeks behind schedule,
Just returned from Central Sask after a week of hunting. Tons of hunters, most Ive ever seen but lots of birds. Snows and Specks had a great hatch, not many Honks around as years past.
Just got back from Alberta Sunday, Lots on the move right now with the juvies in tow. I wish we could have stayed a few more days because everything seems to be a couple weeks behind. Very very dry in the area we hunt.
About 10,000 in the aberdeen area right now. Found two feeds. Sitting on three roosts. Last year, they were already there in much larger numbers. ENough water and food in ND. More ducks and dark geese east of aberdeen.
Birds are still LOADED IN SASK.
Massive bunches of both Snows and Darks.
Lots of snow predicted for next week so Im sure they're about ready to travel.
