Here's the one I assumed it was https://fallingfeatheroutdoors.com/. TJ has a solid reputation. If it's the one Ange posted, my comments are null and void. Don't know anything about them.

Booked the hunt dates with Arthur of Fallin' Feather just last week. Were both really looking forward to the hunt, 1/7&8/24.

The original poster should take his trip and plan on having a good time. But don’t be disappointed if the ducks are not using the timber when you are there.

With private timber you’re counting on the ducks coming to you, as opposed to going to the ducks like you do on big public tracts.

By way of example I own a chunk of flooded pin oaks as part of my camp. However, I might only get a couple good timber shoots all season … even when the conditions are perfect. It’s more likely that the conditions are right and the ducks are still someplace else. Just the way it works.

You driving or flying? If you have some extra time, there's places you could hunt the timber prior to your guided hunt.

And if driving...don't leave anything valuable in your truck when unattended.

1700miles, we have to fly unfortunately.
Aside from toting guns & ammo on planes and such I'm kinda wondering what we do with the birds. Gift em seems the only solution?

You can use a soft side cooler as a carry-on going, and fill it with frozen birds for the flight back. I know big game guys who pack their gear, and a duffle, in a large cooler going, and fill it with the game to check as a second bag on the return trip. I've also frozen a few whole birds for mounts, wrapped them in a towel and packed in my luggage. Finally, there's a "common carrier" clause in the USFWS codes for a reason. Overnight them home.

I have hunted with that group. Great guys and very accommodating. IF you have to bring birds back dry ice / FedEx. If you don't then the GW will know people / food banks that will take the game. BTW the timber is the bomb just make sure the water is right.

Never been to the south, hell, I haven't been east of the Mississippi!
Spoke with the outfitter, and yes there is green timber available, but if the birds aren't using it neither will we, which will be just fine.
Looking forward to visiting AR, as it's a bucket list item for most waterfowlers myself included.
Leaning more towards late season as big game takes precedence starting Oct-Dec.
should be a fun time.
In the meantime I feel like my beard game isn't up to par with AR, but I'll try lol.
The southern experience for this CA fella will be great, I have no doubts.
You’re correct! I got to go to AR several years in a row due to my Buddy having a rice field lease in Humphrey, AR next to Bayou Meto. It is was like I died & went to heaven - a half Japanese duck hunter hunting in the Rice & Duck Capital of the World! :l :tu

Thank you OC.
The expectation is a great time with a good buddy and hopes of making some new friends.
If all goes as planned i sure would like to make it an annual pilgrimage.
Big fan of fun adventures, as most of us are.
