Here are the results I got from a set I shot 2 weeks ago. Here are some killer 3" loads that are easy as heck to load.

Fiocchi 3" with FIO 616 Primer (Tan Hull)
    BPI #10-118
    1-1/8oz of BB's
    LBC43 dusted with mica
    1625, 1593, 1614, 1585, 1601

Federal 3" (Clear, Paper Basewad) From BPI
    RSI # 87
    Sam 1 2.75 Dusted
    450gr of #1's
    1760, 1726, 1718, 1752, 1703
(This loaded crushed a Specklebelly last weekend, nothing but a POOF! of feathers)

Fiocchi 3" with FIO 616 Primer (Tan Hull)
    BPI 10-319
    1550, 1551, 1555, 1565, 1545
    2.75 MM wad

Ive found the BPI LBC43 and Multimetal wads to give me exactly what the book states for velocity. The multi-metal loads are slightly higher in pressure than the LBC43, so Im sticking with them just for the recoil aspect, and maybe alittle wildcatting if I want to push them slightly further.

The RSI stuff Im shooting are all wildcats. FIO38 and the modified RSI #87 are not in the books, but I sure like em. The loads Ive tried "By the book" are falling short, so I dont know what to think.

Ive got a few more RSI loads to test out, so Ill keep ya posted. Might get to the range tomorrow in fact, who knows. Was a good day to go fishing down here.

OD1 .... "I guess I must use the force to get an RSI load to shoot as published"

Bear River Boomer, I calibrate my chrony with match 22 rifle ammo. Also I shoot 1350 fps Winchester loads across it. My chrony is right on. In fact I had a 22 match rifle shooter calibrate mine one day. Ned S

Yes I have ... I too shoot 22 match ammo through it (My kid does While I set up) and Ive also chrono'd 338 Ultra Mag, 30-06, 243 and 270 stuff through it and it all reads right on.

I also let some of the regulars at our club use it when Im reloading stuff to test on site. They all are shooting various stuff and the velocities are all where they are supposed to be.

One other thing .... these velocities are not using the 7/70 rule that some use to adjust thier loads .... I set up 7 feet from the muzzle and let her rip, what you see is what it spits out.

    Dave,

Yea, that fio38 is a good one. Did good on teal with it and 5's. Also real good on big ducks with 3's and 4's. An ounce of three's in that hull is my favorite. When the wind picks up or the ducks work poorly I switch to 2's in the WLBob load.

Looks like BPI 10-319 is a twin to the WLBob cheddite load. Either hull with the mm1275 and 2's or 3's would do just fine and I presume both are loaded with 39 gr of steel!

My correction for the chrony is 7/40.

If you wouldn't mind PM me details on your RSI 87 variant. I'd like a closer look.
