Kill em, kill em all. I'd argue that with anybody. When they cause property damage they gotta go.
I only know birds. Rock dove (pigeon), English sparrow, starling, and Eurasian dove only winged critter in US that has zero federal protection.
They are going to meet their maker - I just need to determine how blatant I can be about it. I've got liberal bunny-hugger neighbors who will rat me out, particularly since the pellet gun I borrowed from my buddy is as loud as a .22. That's why I need legal advice from my man JBennett, Esq.
I believe Monk Parakeet is in that category as well. I don't know where they live but I remember it from gun safety class.
Lots of states have seasons and limits. Meateater just had an episode, and limit was 10.
I eat every type of waterfowl I shoot. Including occasional mergansers. (I won’t shoot coots!)
A patient gave me this recipe years ago. Take all your less desirable breasts (mergansers, geese, whatever) and put them in a crock pot.
Add one bottle of the cheapest wine you can find (I use red).
(What? Wine comes in colors? How about a plaid!).
Add two packets of onion instant soup mix.
Cook it all day or all night but cook it till it’s falling apart.
Pour off the liquid.
Take the breasts and put them in another bowl.
Using a fork, shred the meat back into the crock pot (good time to look for any leftover shot).
Then add your favorite barbecue sauce until you’ve coated the meat well. Reheat.
Serve on your favorite bun.
Then you’ve used those “inedible waterfowl” into “pulled duece” that’s pretty edible IMHO.
My co-workers hated me after I told them what it was. They thought it was pulled pork.(I might have even told them as much...). But lately they’ve been asking me to bring it in again.
Fair game here. Screw it. Then again, we have people that have zero qualms about shooting a wolf on their property and burying it. You do whatever you have to do.
Looking forward to a new vid chasing some stale birds.
Weather doesn't look conducive many places to get birds moving at the moment.
Heard on FB that Limitz’s dad got his first band. All glory be to Limitz for his mentoring skillz
