we finally got 7 days in the forecast without rain in it. everybody and their brother cut hay yesterday or today. and probably more the next two days. our subsoil moisture is down but we needed this dry spell. come on sun. come on wind.

I'd like a certain set of weather conditions that would best benefit my honey production so would you mind letting that alfalfa go to full bloom please if you don't mind sir? :l

The water levels in the Cedar and Wapsie tell me we are still very short of water.

It's nice to see the sun and warmth, but agree on the low water levels , we need a bunch more before fall.
It might as well wait a few weeks now and let the pheasant and turkey chick's hatch .

I was really disappointed today when I saw how many farmers are mowing hay fields. Referring to pheasant hatch.

Ya it seems the 1st mowing comes earlier and earlier each year.
But we could use a rain tonight @GetDuck .
    Anyone getting any ?

we got about 20 drops and then another 15 drops today. they just updated the Iowa drought map. 90% of the state is hurting.
