After not hunting at all the past two seasons due to health issues I finally got out for a few short afternoon hunts. First two were complete dudes. Today started out bad as I broke off about 95% of one paddle of my double bladed kayak paddle. Figured I would be making 2-3 strokes of one side for each on the other. Much to my amazement the difference was minimal. Only stearing on that side was a bust. It was looking like another bust when with one minute left in legal a greenhead fell in perfectly and I dropped him with one shot. I was about as excited as if it was my first duck. I am absolutly exhausted. Not sure if I will have the energy to go tomorrow, but I am planning on it. Going to bed early!

    Good for you, Clayton.
I thought, as I read, this was going to be a story about being up that well known stream without any means of propulsion.
Ducks are mighty scarce over here.

After what you have been though last couple of years you deserve a limit four greened mallards, one pintail drake and a banded back duck, daily, for the rest of the season.

That would make my season even if that was all else I killed this year.
