First euro wigeon

    Where did you shoot the Euro?I shot one 10 years ago in Nevada. I didnt realize what is was at first,but then my Son said it's a Eurasian Widgeon and pretty rare here he said I should have it mounted ,so I did.

    I love a wigeon. That American looks like a stud! Almost the size of that greenhead.

    Congrats on the euro. That's one bird I would like to cross off my bucket list. You accomplished it with a nice limit to boot

    I just got one a couple weeks ago. It's my 3rd one over the last 6 years. None of them appeared smaller than any American Widgeon I've shot over the years. This last one did sound different as you noted, though.

    I'm thinking he is a first year bird the other two American drakes are about the same size and they look like first year birds as well goining by the feather coloration ?
