First year duck hunting stuff

    Lived out in the country. No duck holes were close enough to bike to. Mod. 12 16 ga. Uninsulated waders (miserable). No dog(big mistake. Wouldn't do that today). Hunted beaver swamps with my father and his crew. Killed a bunch of ducks for a teenage kid.
    Did take the rabbit and bird dogs out some after school. Got a few rabbits, squirrels and bobwhites.
    Hunting coat was from Western Auto, as was most everything else. Shells would have been from a local gas station.

    My dad had an older gentleman that would always take him and eventually me to a place that was known as "the blow hole". I remember being too young to hunt but going with my dad and me and the old guy would go get this stuff in 5 gallon buckets and put it out on the ground under a homemade "shelter" as the older guy didnt want people flying over to see the stuff? We killed lots of wood ducks back then, and a few mallards too.
