Left Maine at 8am ET yesterday morning. 1200 miles later, I rolled into my house at 12am CT. Threw my summer salmon gear in the boat and was on the water at 3am.

Haha! Otis will lick every fish that comes in the boat til I put it away. Then proceeds to lick every scale and drop of blood left behind. It’s pretty funny. This was the first king he’s been able to lick since last august and was particularly overzealous on this one. He destroyed his knee in Sept last fall and was prohibited from the boat until March this year. Caught well over 100 2-3 year old silver kings last fall up until December that the poor fugger never got one lick of.

I did make good time for a solo run. Didn’t need to sleep and only have to stop for fuel twice. Although I drive swiftly, I didn’t go much past 80. I just set the cruise at a speed that I might get pulled over but probably won’t. There was hardly any traffic or construction yesterday either. Sometimes leaving Maine is hellish coming thru MA.
