69833781-5A0F-4D9C-B19B-2239816AEF59.jpeg I normally set five lines worth of decoys...I like running all super mags, but it’s taking up too much real estate in the boat. Weight isn’t the main issue, just bulk. With three people and a dog it’s a chore shuffling bags around. I figure switching to an oversized block instead of super mags will take three bags out of the boat. Been back and forth on the size vs numbers thing and something has to give. Looking at the Plastiduks and Toledos next to the Avian X and Tanglefree though almost makes me think I need a bigger Bankes.

Hard work! I feel lucky to hunt ringers with 2-3 dozen dekes, but I like magnum sized ones- they are effective!

You are far nicer than I. I would downsize the crew not the size or number of decoys. :l

I would have a hard time leaving those Toledos on the bench!

Go 4 lines of magnums if you need to. I think at that size of rig the bigger decoys help more than having 12 more decoys.

How big is the Bankes? I feel like 60 decoys and 3 guys shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

I will often drop a guy off at the blind or bank and tell him to just hang out while me another set the rig.

60 super mags is 8 “manageable” bags in my 17’ Bankes with console. I can do 5 bags if I downsize. The super mags don’t fit worth a darn on the decoy shelves either.

Is there a way you could adjust how you load them? One idea I thought of was the Cabelas northern flight 2 man bags may stack better.

    I have those bags...love em.

Not good in the boat though, can’t move em around. I’ve went to smaller duffle style bags so I can stuff where I need to. My only thought was a custom bow bag with an open top that just stays there unless the decoys are deployed. One big bucket style bag made to fit the whole front that hooks to rail to throw decoys into. Not sure though.

My buddy has a 14ft Tdb he has gunnel decoy bags to save room. I think he got them from Dianne custom decoy bags. They are nice.
