Take a look at page 6. https://files.dnr.state.mn.us/rlp/regulations/hunting/waterfowl.pdf#view=fit
Granted, it's not state-wide. But, you've got your foot in the door! Been lots of changes since I left Minnesota in '92. Limits, season length's, etc. Miss my old haunts!!!
Yup...I consider that North Dakota.
But you're right.
I just want to shoot them here dammit! Even if it's a one a day limit. Hell one a season.
They consider the Roseau birds to be part of the Missouri River flock.
The rest of them are part of the Eastern Flock, which is supposedly endangered. (It’s not)
There are several people in the MN legislator that are pushing for a legal season. The bird watchers and tree huggers shut them down every time. There is concern that the huntable population is too close to the metro area and it will get shot up too hard.
They will not listen to the one bird/season tag argument.
Been a very poor early season up here. A fraction of the usual number of birds we see. Did see the first snow geese yesterday. About 50 of them.
Shot these last weekend.
Productive Sunday morning.
Another good morning near
It was worth going into work late yesterday. We had a really fun hunt. The geese wanted to be where we were. Real bad.
