    The Canada Goose limits in the Atlantic flyway are set by the nesting success or lack there of of the Ungava Bay Canada geese. When the Ungava Bay geese migrate they intermingle with the other geese. Limits get low when nesting success and breeding pairs are down. If we have another poor recruitment spring/summer then yes the limit may go to one per day. Right now I think the 2021-2022 limit will be two.

    DEC and the Waterfowl Hunter Task Forces are seeking input on your preferences for Canada goose, brant, scaup, youth, and military hunting season dates. Season frameworks for each zone:

    • In the West Central, East Central, Northeast, Lake Champlain, and Hudson Valley are anticipated to be 30 days long with a one-bird bag limit;
    Southern zone still 5?
