Spotted a blue in a thousand whites and did not shoot until this guy was overhead. 1 shot.

Well, we could have ground pounded a couple of blues and then shot into the flock and then chased cripples for an hour. So now that I have a blue, I am happy I passed on the ground pounding. :amen

Don't hate on me but my first experiences hunting snowgeese were jump shooting them. We killed a lot of beautiful blues and I didnt know enough about them to appreciate what they were. Killing snows over my own spread has definitely been a challenge and I'm probably gonna jump up and down like a kid at Christmas when I get that first beautiful blue to decoy. Congratulations on a beautiful bird.

You did good! Beautiful bird! We take for granted just how amazing and pretty those geese are. I remember the 1st blue I shot. Killed him over white cloth rags my dad brought home from work in a trash sack. I was proud as heck. It's mounted and still hanging on my wall.

Me too I thought it was some special bird.
We've filled my old dodge with white snows a few times but only one time I picked out a perfectly plumed blue. It's like a flying painting. Beautiful. :tu
