I'm so very sorry...that's plain awful. One day at a time. I put my Gracey down in April 2015, I still haven't got another, I just couldn't immediately like some....I needed time and space to really give her due respect. Now, I'm just trying to find the time. My condolences.

I’ve cried at the loss of every dog I’ve had. I believe the bond between a man and his hunting partner is unlike any other.

So sorry for your loss sir. I had to put down my 14 year old Chocolate day before thanksgiving...her back legs literally collapsed and she couldn’t get up or stay up if raised.

For you having lost a 7 year old must be especially hard and painful...so sorry for you and your family, RIP Echo

I too hate these posts. But I read them every time. Because I know how difficult it is to lose a dog. I always wish there was something I could do to ease the horrible pain it causes. But alas there isn’t anything. Save sharing that I’ve been through it. And that time heals all wounds. And it does to a point. But honestly I still cry sometimes over dogs I lost 30 years ago. I guess I’m just a sap. But I can’t help it.
