Hey guys when you get close to day 30 and you still don't have your card go here http://www.elections.il.gov/DistrictLocator/DistrictOfficialSearchByAddress.aspx and type in just your zip code and it will pull up a page that shows all of the +4 addresses, just scroll through and find your address and click on it and it will show you who all of your officials are but for these kinds of things you want to contact your STATE rep or senator not US rep or senator. Just call them at their district phone number as their secretaries are always in those offices.

I'll try and give this a bump every so often until we get this made to a sticky

Bump

Call your state rep and/or senator when your foid is past the 30 days. Every time they do this they are breaking the law and the more our reps and senators here from us the better case we make for repealing the foid act!

My brother-in-law is fighting this now. He just moved back to IL from FL and applied on April 28 @ Presleys. He is sweating bullets hoping he gets it by duck blind drawing. He also had to put away his conceal holster he wore everyday in FL:mad:

How many law abiding citizens have been made felons because the state police have not processed their foid cards in a timely matter, ie 30 days? Personally, last year, mine took 96 days from the day the application was sent.
To heii with calling state reps and senators, if the state legislature is unable to charge the director of the state police with contempt for failure to do his duty, maybe the NRA could find a friendly sheriff and state's attorney to charge him with a felony for making felons of so many law abiding citizens. My bet is that if this individual was taken to a county jail, arraigned, and charged, there would be a major change in attitude in the quinn administration and the ISP.

I called my senators office and gave the secretary all my information she asked for. She said she would check into it and call me back. I am still waiting. Good luck and God Bless. Norm
