I saw an old banged up Herters cork decoy at an antique sore today. Nothing special about it but it had a wooden keel with a 1” x 1.5” metal plate labeled “Herters Decoys”. Anybody seen this metal label before?

Yeah, I have seen them with the brass tags before... And I think they may have had them when Cabela's owned them...but don't remember for sure.

May have been from Original Herters Sporting Goods Company. Cabelas did sell some I believe with plastic heads once they bought out Herters Brand years ago but don,t recall them having any brass tags on them. Original Herters company did balsa and cork with wooden heads.
