The new stuff is all sold out
Like Kent changing fasteel, whyyyy
I couldn’t agree more. I bought some the first year and my 1 shot kills were like nothing I’d experienced until this year shooting bismuth. I STONED birds with that load. Then they changed it & it was no different than shooting blue box Federals. Too bad, that load was legit.
Changes in Duck loads, as well as target shells. More often then not they are not changing to improve (though marketing sells it as such) but due to changes in operations (processes or location) and components. These are driven by their cost.
Example: One of the fiocchi lines of target shells changed their primer. Didn't do much to the consumer cost, but helped their bottom line. Yet, noticeable. I've heard many a complaint or seen a poorly touched off....or non shot on a target.
For the most part, waterfowlers are pretty gullable. If one thinks they'll get a edge by dropping some coin.....he's all in.
Hmmm, there are a few duck trinkets in my garage that that fit that description That being said, I'm waaaaay more gullible when it comes to buying new bass baits!
You know, there is a whole bunch of lures that catch more fisherman then fish.
Now these 3.5 shooters will think they can shoot to the moon ....jeeze
IMO because (some)people get tired of the "same old thing" and search for newer and better, you know so they can out shoot their buddies, pound their chest that they spend 250.00 on a case of shells and such.... so the "marketing experts" give it to them!!!
I was a huge fan of the old Kent Fasteel. I am still shooting it but have shot some of the 2.0. It patterns very, very close to the old stuff from my pattern testing. It seems to be ok but I haven't used it long enough to really say.
