I know plenty of people that got all their Covid shots, boosters, masks, distancing, isolation etc etc and got Covid. Some of them more than once. Why didn’t it work for them? You may have got Covid, you have no idea.

Some got long Covid which sucks. Some died but not near the numbers they claim. Most were old and/or unhealthy to begin with. Coronaviruses can be tough when you aren’t healthy. The flu is a coronavirus and it can be tough on the weak too. Same as it ever was. Most who got covid in that age and health risk category were fine.

I never changed the way I lived. The only change was testing and using some common sense precautions before being around old and/or fat people. I went fishing with buddies the whole week the lockdown started. I kept seeing freinds and family through the entire deal so long as they wanted to see me. I kept fishing, hunting, going to music shows that would allow, being outdoors etc.

I have people who tell me they felt they lost a whole year or two of their life and I feel bad. Life is too good to hide away. A lot of us got back to living about a month in to this deal.

Our ‘record’ is very different indeed. If we could all do over I think most would take my route of ‘record’ over yours. But again, you do you. Life is short. Live and let live.

We have been Covid free and living quite well.

The funny thing is, by definition, the flu shot is actually a vaccine and mRNA Covid shots are not.

This is inaccurate. By definition the mRNA Covid shot IS a vaccine. It should not be, but it is.
In 2015 CDC changed the definition of vaccine to include mRNA technology. The change they made in 2021 redefined the definition to lower the threshold for efficacy. Because these products clearly could not meet the previous standards for providing immunity they simply changed the definition and just like that you have a vaccine. You just don’t know how science works $$$….hope this helps.

Edit: to be clear, the definition change made all of Covid shots “vaccines” regardless of how poorly they performed. More science!

I don’t want to get into any name calling or anything, because I think Flyway is some kind of higher up muckity muck in the Covidian church. Not to talk about another man’s religion, but it’s problematic when you try to mix science with religion.

I could care less if they call it a shot or vaccine. I could care less if it has been around hundreds of years or 6 months. I'm good with the level of research that went into it. I tend to think we can expedite things now due to such advancements in technology. In addition, when Trump tore down years of red tape to speed up the process, that alone made this unprecedented.

Personally I put all kinds of bad chit into my body. The least of my worries is a Covid shot. I've done some crazy chit in my life so a Covid shot ain't chit. Half the people bitching about Covid shots are folks who are obese, smoke, drink too much and probably have serious heart disease. So they are worried about this? Give me a break. Nonsense.

I never supported mandatory vaccinations with Covid. Nor did I support lock downs. I just got the shot because I get flu shots too to lessen my chances of getting super sick if I do catch it. I knew from Day 1 the shot wasn't going to keep me from catching it. I also knew the chances of me dying were going to lessen after I got the shots. When I got Covid I didn't die from it. So did it work? Who knows but I attended the funeral of someone who worked for me who was my age who didn't get the shot. So I figure it might have helped me. My wife caught it as well and I figure it helped her too.

The difference with Covid is all the nonsense politics that got played with it. There has never been that level of politics played with flu shots or any other childhood vaccinations we got. So regardless of how long we have had these other vaccinations around and the research that comes with them, once politics got played with Covid it wouldn't matter what the science does or does not say. The well was poisoned. I tend to think the Covid shots were a success story but there is always going to be the negative people out there who find motivations to find science that disproves that notion.

The Democrats parlayed Covid into a way to end Trump. Since that time many, many conservatives have done nothing but shoot down all things Covid in retaliation. I don't trust a lot of it but I do trust my doctors advice MOST of the time and on this he didn't need to explain it in much more detail. Having a wife that works at a hospital was enough.
