Just because you can make the right sounds doesn't make you a duck caller. Heck, if you learned to read the birds better than the next guy you could fart into the call, and they would come in like gangbusters.
Natural duck sounds don't mean squat okay maybe 1/4 of the equation the rest is a killer cadence and the ability to read the birds but last but not least is knowing when to call or maybe the most important thing is when not to call. If someone tells me that I'm calling too loud and too often I know I'm doing my job correctly.
Fast and loud kills ducks period.

Learn to make a killer single quack and a killer single cut cluck or "cook" before you try stringing them together. Watch what the lead hen is doing she is the bird that you are calling to, and she is the bird that you want to fool 90% of the time if you get her the rest will follow.

Do a member search here for everydaylimits. He will show you how its done.

Or just cut down some cornstalks and tie it around the trees to make it appear like its flooded corn

I've never heard a drake whistle. I've got a four in one whistle somewhere.

The one that was quacking the other day was loud!

Tying corn stalks around a tree sounds like a lot of unnecessary hard work, to kill a couple spoonies.
