We hunted today. Very few ducks or they didn't fly. May get a wood duck early. Not much shooting. Walk for us was the same. Some may have to walk farther. I like getting out to site and having enough time to set up and prepare instead of having to rush.

I got to be close with some retired state guys in the RC airplane club. Their conversations were always the same topic.
The money and benefits and how they shouldn't have to do anything to get them. They complained a lot about inept inefficient government staffers LIKE THEMSELVES and were worried sick about being shafted because that's what they did for their entire careers. Like watching thieves worrying about their stuff getting stolen.

The state will have a simple solution to threats. They'll just shut it down for everyone. Then nobody can complain about unfair treatment.

There are a lot of people that would volunteer their services to help at the site. Herein lies the problem. I have been told this more than once from State Reps and Senators. The workers are all UNION. Contracts forbid the State from using volunteer help !!! I do not blame the site workers. I blame the Union and the State. When we want to get something done at a State site we tell the site Supt. what when and where and he is not there that day. The site people are usually thrilled to get the help !!!!!
