The blinds will be brushed at the beginning of the season then not touched till after that. They are not having a draw at the Firing Line, they aren’t allowing people in the building, they aren’t taking and picking up hunters. One guy can run the whole thing. I saw the guy at Mermet run the draw, collect money, hand out life jackets/paddles, and answer questions there were 40 groups of hunters there. There isn’t anything for them to do after the draw is over but they will have the workers there sitting around. Maybe they need to spend their time practicing on the backhoe. The one guy that could run it left. There are several pits still left to put in.

Your draw number on your permit represents your choice of stake

The draw position number is the number you pick. If your position number is one then you have the first pick in the draw. If yours is 20 then good luck sitting in a blind that has no water.

In my own opinion after viewing the harvest board. until conditions improve anyone in the last half of the draw will have a slow day.

We hunted day 4 and ended up with first pick as position 1 didn't show. Needless to say it was a very slow day as one mallard was the only thing that got within 200 yards of our pit. Yeah it worked right in, but didn't see maybe 30 ducks.
