Its been tough here but we are still grinding out a few. Ive been mostly kayak fishing for king salmon on the great lakes. Definitely not knocking it out of the park but ive at least caught a few. How you guys doing ?

I predominantly bass fish. They are starting to fatten up for the winter so when the weather is right the fishing has been good. Every one I catch pretty much looks like a little pot bellied pig!

Did a little shore fishing this afternoon. Ended up with a dark coho that surprisingly ended up having excellent quality meat. I love these little salmon. As a bonus i got first blood on a spoon rod I just finished building.

It's been a crazy good summer for us. I've got most of it posted up on the henry's fork thread. My son Caleb is a guide in eastern Idaho and I was able to slip into the boat 31 times over the summer. We hit the caddis hatch right on time and had a few good days with green drakes and the rest of the time was spent head hunting big cutthroats with dry flies. We broke a few rods and caught a lot of fish. Caleb went through all 400 flies he tied over the winter mainly with clients. We started having to use ones from the fly shop and they don't have the good hooks Caleb ties with so we bent out a few on big fish the last few trips.
