Caught a 12 lb milt leaking male common carp with ShopRite canned corn bait on a #8 gold salmon egg hook and 12 lb test line in 67 degree Carnegie Lake this evening. Had a great fight. Gave it to another fisherman.

Had Paint Creek Watershed Association's kid's fishing day, was manning the net under the pier, hazardous duty, but it was epic.

Guessing this trout was over 9 pounds.

We had 144 kids show up, first since COVID19

Fishing so good, 1 hook catches 2 fish.
Common with lingcod. They grab a fish hooked and refuse to let go even after a gaff is sunk in them. Pitbull of the fish world.
2 years ago, a guy got a 27" lingcod on hook, a 35" lingcod was holding onto 27" sideways, and a 44" ling had 35" halfway down throat holding on. Landed all 3. Only hooked fish was 27". Up from 200' deep.
