I'd like to have a mess of those crappie! I'm gonna give them a shot next time I get a chance to hit the water.

Took my little guy with to fish for some suckers. Fishing was slow but we did manage a couple. More importantly he had a blast and didnt want to go home even though it started pouring rain.

4/9/2021 caught 5 bluegills to 8.5”, 4 pickerel to 17”, 2 white perch to 11” and a 13” white crappie with a 1/32 oz jig and twister tail on 4 lb test line in a park lake in the evening. Ultralight jigging is lots of fun. F42F7CAC-F690-482B-9670-49062C8BBC96.jpeg

smaller 6-7" gills are great for frying whole. Under 6" and they are safe from me.
