Fish were not very active but did relax a bit wet wading on a hot evening with my son last night.

Caught a bunch of smallmouth this morning top Water. Mostly smaller fish one good sized one that I hope made it, had the Pop R deep. No pics today

I haven't been able to get out yet this year due to cancer and chemo kicking my arse, but yesterday the stars aligned and Ib was able to get out for the first time. I went to Soda lake which is about a 15 minute side by side ride from the house and it's loaded with big Browns and Brookies. 2nd cast resulted in a 19" brown full of fight on my little St. Croix with 4lb test line. I'm going to try to get out with the fly rod today depending on the wind and see what we can do.

Cold yesterday morning but very little wind. Went out for a couple hours before shooging skeet. first cast got this one on a Pop r. Then it was game on ot 4 nice ones and a bunch or 12-13 inch smallies
