I think the blue wave tied to the MN teacher's convention is mostly a thing of the past ...

+) sports including youth hockey now in full swing
+) as noted above MN youth deer season
Used to be more pronounced on opener and MEA, now you just see blue plates all the time.

Not heading up until the 5th for 5 days. Looking at the weather in Central ND and north into Sask I can’t see any reason they’d leave within the next 14 days at a least. Warm and dry. Looking like we’re going to be hunting the stale birds that have been there for 3 weeks again this year. During deer season too ☹️

Iv been coming the last 3 years and I see people with the same doom and gloom reports on here but I can honestly say this year is the fewest birds iv seen in the last 3 years in my area northwest of jamestown. Found one good feed and 3 trucks waiting at the entrance this morning. And it was a good ways off the road. People are scouting hard and all day long here. Hope the weather helps over then next few days. Tough times thus far

I mean southern canada had a snowstorm yesterday and parts of today with 25mph NW winds. So if that does not at least get the calendar migrants moving I guess nothing will. As far as mallards that is different story they can hang in forever.

Any idea where they got snow? I saw some areas with 3-5 inches but nothing severe.
