100% agree, that along with the ones that are harvested get early goose hunted...disrupts the ducks.

Last year the increased small grains in our area was very welcomed, but the cold and wet spring was the main reason. Shall be interesting what this planting season will bring.
Wondering if the addition of a 3rd soybean crush plant in the state will change the crop dynamics?

Well...will this storm stress already stressed wildlife? SC to SE getting another 6-9"(insert adult giggles) with wind gust to 40. I'm ready for turkey season and fishing.

This winter is the gift that keeps on giving. Not sure I can remember one quite like it. We'll be over 5 months of heavy snow cover in a week. No temps above 40 in Bismarck for the whole month of March for the first time ever. Now this>>>

We probably have 18-24” on the level where I’m at in north central MN. And another 5-13” forecast for Tuesday. Glad to see you guys are getting the moisture, it was pretty dry out there last fall. But hope the farmers can get the crop in before too late. I have a feeling there will be lots of short season corn planted this year in both our states.

If the last month of weather hasn't stressed out or killed wildlife, this will definitely be a breaking point for a lot. Not to mention just the rural areas of the state in general.
Eyehunter83...last year when we had a wet spring, small grains and soybeans were about all that were planted in the area we hunt. I'm guessing that will be the case again this year. A lot will depend on snow melt and what rains we get. There were no open fields last weekend and now throw another 10-20" on that of wet heavy snow, it's beyond stupid this year so far. I would not be surprised at a lot of rural roads underwater this spring and early summer with the amount of snow this winter.
