Damn, we must be related, I can't remember hardly anything from my high school yrs.
And I for damn sure can't remember names unless I associate them with someone I know.
But I remember faces and voices even from people that I went to grade school with.

I was given a boat (14' Starcraft with 5½ Evinrude) when I was 12...Dad gave me permission to use the Remington 1100 unsupervised when I was 14...

I killed my first duck solo at 14...41 years ago.

Yea, most of my early memories are documented by pictographs on cave walls. BTW, CookMan, reeds hadn't been invented yet.

This pic is from the first year I got my drivers license. 1986. Parents were super cool back then.
“You want to drive 150 miles, with other teenagers, camp out, and hunt on an Indian reservation?” No cell phone or roadside service for vehicle?”
Have fun, see you Sunday night.

29 years. Killed nearly 3000 ducks 46 banded. The last few season have not been the best but still love it as the first. My best friend begged me to go. I had no interest but went anyway at age 17 in 1991 and never looked back. That friend died in a car accident in 1993. He and his legacy lives through me forever!
