Been looking at getting a m2 for ducks. How many of you guys use 20ga and what loads you using?
Citori o/u, Black Cloud 2, 3 or 4 depending on the time of year or if it's a combo duck/goose deal. 5's for teal.
Vildiz over-n-under in 20 ga. with skeet and improved tubes. 2-3/4" steel in 6 or 4 shot. Started out using it for teal season, but it was so much fun to shoot that I used it for big ducks unless there are lots of opportunities for geese and cranes and they I go to the 12 ga. semi-auto.
Most #4 shells pattern well out of my m2. 3s are more iffy and 2s take a lot of testing to find something acceptable.
Use it for ducks and geese.Franchi Affinity, best gun on the market in this price range.Lots of chances to get 20 Hevi Metal and Blackcloud on clearance here. 3 inch 2s for geese and 4s for dux.
Browning Gold in 20 has been my choice for the last four or five years. Run it from the dove opener through the end of goose season here on the front range. Hevi Metal 3” 4’s for any waterfowl over decoys.
M2 26” barrel with #4 shot works well
Baikal O/U for the last 4-5 years. Remington 4's mostly, backed by 3's
I/C followed by Mod, or if there are fewer birds, LT Mod and Imp Mod
1971 Belguim Auto 5 with 28" fixed mod. barrel.
1 oz of steel 4s.
M2 26" barrell shooting hevi shot 4's.
