He didn't name his gun. He was so good other folks named it. The first time he ever saw a skeet field, he watched a round and the shot with that full/full Becker. He scored a 97. He shot high, but it wasn't sky busting. If you stone over 75% of the shots you take, it doesn't matter what the range is, and he was well over 75%.

Whatever Billy. If ya cut into a big bunch of ducks that are in the blocks,ya still educated every bird that got out alive.
And no I ain't advocating tall shooting...just stating fact.

And he was nice enough to let the others live, so I could shoot my birds that day as well.

BPS. Got it 3 seasons ago. Been shooting it 90% of the time now. I'm another who likes the Kent Upland 5's. I was shooting those and 3" 4's. Black Cloud or Fasteel. Hypersonic 2's for geese (pattern great out of the IM). I have a little of everything to try this season.. Winchesters, Rem Sportsmans and Nitros. Still have the box of Hevi-X 2's I picked up last season plus I want to reload a little 12g/cc stuff and Bismuth. We'll see. Our seasons are short. A month of good shooting then freeze-up.

A BPS 20ga was supposed to be my first "real" gun when I got a deal on an 11-87 Premier (12) for the same money. I paid more for the BPS on sale than I did the Premier NIB "back in the day".

St. Buckingham's stuff seems to duck hunting (and especially in your region) what St. Spiller's stuff was to grouse hunting (and especially in the Northeast), just more "stuff" to both than I could bear. But I do get a, perhaps sinful, grin out of pickin' at either's disciples...

I've got a Rem 1100 special field in 20ga.that I'll shoot on occassion. 3" 2's and 4's, mostly Faststeel but I've got some Rem hypersonic that does well in it too.

That group that comes into the blocks, those survivors may not stool proper again, but they are likely to get close enough for a reasonable shot.
You pop off at them at 50yards, first there are more survivors, and next time they see decoys they won't come inside 50yards.

Just a theory as I haven't interviewed any birds on this.

    I’ve hunt 52 days in a season with 410.
    The next season I did 50 days w a 28
While fun shells were too high.
Ive done many seasons w 20’s and they are more than plenty for ducks

Buy yourself a Winchester sx3 and shoot the factory choke of your choice

    Shells I like 3in 2’s
All it does is go bang
