Primary waterfowl gun is a 390, probably a dozen years old or so. My backup is an 870 Express from the mid 90's.

I have a SBEII that I've had for 6 or 7 years and I just got a like new used SBEIII. Like both very much. My first was an 1100, still have it. Jamed too much, so I went to the SBEs. On my 3rd & 4th now. Nothing wrong with the first ones, just like to upgrade. My wife has an 11-87, but we got her a Bennelli M2 to take to Alaska 2 years ago. She loves it, other than it's hard for her to load the magazine.

choked the new Browning like that, gave up on selecting a barrel pass shooting and went two extended modifieds. Might try again someday.

Never trusted my first shot that much...wanted something to get them going away on my second!

    Only one round left.
    It's a mighty big gun.
    Extended range.

Well, my oldest is a Stevens / Savage singleshot 20 gauge I bought after mowing lawns and other miscellaneous labor when I was 10 years old (in 1963). I killed lots of teal and woodies with that gun. It’s still in my den and both of my sons grew up shooting it. Darn hard to pull the hammer back on a cold morning and kicks like a stinker. Didn’t hurt us or our enthusiasm for hunting at all. Those memories make me laugh when I read about a dad whose young shooter is getting a new semiautomatic so they’re not afraid of the recoil.
