I know that this might be a stretch but I'm going to ask anyway. Does anyone know of a guided hunt where you would have a decent chance at harvesting a Ross? I'm a hunter and collector and would be interested in bringing one home for taxidermy. Thanks in advance for your help.

Saw quite a few flying over the Rice and my buddies killed 4 or 5 in a dry field hunt .. They winter in N Cal N Valley .. We see a ton once they all get here .... Any N Cal guide should be able to help you get one .. Just a little luck is all you need as after all it's hunting ..

About any hunt up the central flyway in the spring has a good chance at shooting Ross geese.

Call Jon Neu at Neu Outdoors. He hunts Arkansas and SE Missouri in February and SE SD beginning around March 7th. Lots and lots of Ross's geese to be had!

Got this one on a Public Land, waterfowl production area, do it yourself hunt in ND one April about ten years ago.

Over the years of hunting in ND during April I’ve shot quite a few.

    Here’s one from SD.

I was just pass shooting from a minimum maintenance road and a flock flew over. Saw the neck collar. Shot it.
