I used BelRed (Sp?) and was happy with them. bought a Lennox and have loved it...brother in law has a Trane and loves it. Still waiting to hear back from my buddy on sizes and price expectations.

Best move is to get a few cheap little space heaters and spend the savings on more decoys and shells! :grvn

So my guy says there is a "calculator" on line that is pretty legit for coming up with the correct size. Send me your square footage and the number of runs you have or want. He said, for example, if you are in between sizes i.e. 2.5 ton, go with a 3 ton. in the end your system wont have to work as hard to do what you want it to do. Not sure if this helps but he has never done me wrong. You can pm me with the info or send me your number and we can talk.

Unfortunately it's the compressor i tried replacing the capacitors.. I've gotten 8 quotes the prices have almost doubled from 3 years ago. I called out the company with the highest quote 16k. The answer I received is we are busy. He said, There is more work than we can handle. We are having a record year and we can raise the price.

I wouldn't do business with anyone willing to take advantage of a situation and price gouge.
