You are welcome to your opinion but guys who are in the business suggest we don't have much in the way of stopping them.

Point is our aircraft carriers are sitting ducks.
Perhaps, the full knowledge that we have the ordnance to put them back into the stone age is more effective than any ABM system?

It has been said that for the defender the new wars are fought with the last wars tactics.

Most wars are won by mathematicians. Heroism and cold hearted insanity doesn’t count. Otherwise we’d all be speaking Japanese.

It’s knowing what your enemy is planning that is the winning edge.

The fresh water distillation
generators are out
On Midway.

In my opinion…No country or tribe goes to war knowing they are going to lose.

The best way to remain at peace is to prepare for war and don’t vote democrat.

We will lose WW3 because we rely too much on our navy to carry the war to our enemies.

However, that said, if @stevena198301 ain’t sweating…I ain’t sweating.

If he dives into a slit trench he better get out of the way because I’m diving in right after him. :)

There was an opinion blurb this morning from some talking head that said Taiwan is not going to be where the war starts. He opined it would be in the Philippines when China attacks there first.

The F35 is a total game changer.

That is all.

Anybody testing these 'hyper' missiles against moving targets, that have jamming capabilities, including radar? Or just targets on the ground that don't move.

I think we are stuck in a WW2 paradigm. We had an opportunity after the wall fell to bring Russia in but chose instead to encircle them as enemies.

With China US business with the help of the greedy politicians have decided to enrich them and enable them while ignoring some of their abuses (kind of like we do anyone that has what we want - Saudi Arabia?). What is the overriding principle of US foreign policy? What are even our ethics? We are lost in the woods and wandering in circles. We have boomers in their 80s playing out their Russia WW3 fantasies instead of actually securing and improving our country.

What if our foreign policy was based not in imposing our will but was focused on some other values. Human betterment, reaching for the stars, etc? instead we are focused on undermining governments with our secret alphabet soup groups and fighting proxy wars.

I don't have all the answers but what we are doing now is just going to open millions of people to a very bright light followed by a boom and radioactive fallout.

That could be one of the most ignorant things I have ever read.

After the Soviet Union fell, hardliners seized control of the gov't in Russia and eventually Putin showed up. They upped the threats and sponsorship of terrorism to show they were still a world power when if fact, once the Soviet Union fell, and Russia lost all that slave labor, they began a slow descent into irrelevance.

We did not encircle Russia. If Russia had joined most of the newly freed states and embraced freedom, we would have built a Disneyland there. They chose to build up their military and threaten to retake the former satellite states once Gorbachev was out of power(I am amazed I still remember how to spell his name).

You can hold your hand out in peace to a rabid dog, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I can't find any evidence that they actually exist. Only analysts believe this or that, it is estimated, this or that or Putin claims this, that, or the other. Intelligence analysts that believe it exists are the same ones that told us about WMD's in Iraq(that Bush Jr still gets the blame for).

I saw the NPR article on the hypersonic missile. It is the closest to evidence, but even then it is reporting claims, not actual scientific evidence.

It is like Big Foot(or where I grew up, the Fouke monster). Everyone heard they existed, but no one ever hit one with their Buick.
