Come on Rick, you know us Cajuns from St Landry, Avoyelles, and Evangeline Parishes forgot more about being a Cajun than those German diluted rice field inbreds from your region, lol!
Real cajun country is really central Louisiana down to the gulf imo

Forgive me because I live in Nebraska and am not familiar with the civil war culture, but why does this north versus south argument and the "love for the confederacy" still persist to this day?
Reasons vary. For many of us, we were raised with stories of the war. My grandmother told me stories about her grandfather who served in the Confederate army. In fact all of my ancestors served in Confederate units. For older guys like me, TV stations signed off at night by playing Dixie. Our high school band played Dixie at the end of halftime at football games. Everybody stood up, cheered, and put their hand over their heart. Many of us had pictures of Gen Lee and Stonewall Jackson in our homes. Battles were fought near my home. Although were were staunch Americans, we were proud of the stand they did against overwhelming odds. I guess you would have to live here to understand.

LOL, no one has ever posted anywhere about how they fell in love just listening to a yankee's speaking voice. No American anywhere has ever turned to a yankee stranger of the opposite sex in a bar after overhearing their accent and said, in a nice way, “say something else.”

As for grammar, the average yank is as poor as they come. You are just so used to hearing it you don’t notice. The common yankee habit of using “them” as a pronoun before every singular verb is enough to make me cringe, and it gets worse from there.
I'd bet their is an entire class of Americans who thought Marissa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny would be just fine to hang out with. Way hotter than that little nugget in the OP video.
I will admit, it's few and far between.

She was hotter in Anger Management and far less annoying.
