Been hauling soybeans to the river for a local farmer friend and have had to get inside the grain bins several times. That’s inline with a baked potato, wrapped in tin foil, on the grill.

I would hazard a guess as to why it is called Furnace Creek.

Meh, fishing is based on where. Get in the boat with me fishing ledges, and it will usually be dead calm, 95+ degrees, over 90% humidity and there's no shade within a mile. Now the beach, no big deal. There's usually at least some air movement, and, unless you are a moron, you have an umbrella nearby. Oh, and there's cool water nearby to cool you off at will (or get in to pee). As to changing with age, I've noted more that old folks get more cold natured while not worrying as much about the heat, but that's just anecdotal.

All that said, I maintain most folks could handle heat far better than they do due to not acclimating and dressing wrong.

Lol @ getting in the water to pee at the beach. I just dig a hole in the sand and lay down in it and then cover it like a cat.

By the time I've had enough gin & tonic or beer to need to go, I'm ready to get in the water. It's all about multitasking to make the best use of vacation time. Besides, I hate laying in sand.

idk what was gayer, his original comment or the fact that two people felt the need to “like” it.

Whine whine whine. It was 96 earlier today but now we have cloud cover and wind and the temp has dropped to 91 so I’m going outside to mow
