I used to wire semi-trailer light systems and you would think that it would get easier. Wiring a new trailer(Kit) for lights and one side works the other doesn't except for the side marker. I'm sure it is a ground issue. Back out into the cold and wind.

It was the ground, all fixed

I'm putting together a rig to haul my canoe and Marshrat, I'm getting too old to lift them up on the top of my van, will post pics when its done.

The only thing good about trailer lights is that 9 times out of 10 the problem is the ground.

We do a ton of wiring in my shop on trailers. We solder every connection and then shrink tube it. Another thing is to get your wiring out of harms way. Tuck it up and zip tie it where it cant get damaged. Don't by cheap lights, worst mistake you can make. Buy once, cry once.

I am going to open a shop for fixing trailer lights and simply name it " it's always the ground wire" ... People from far and wide will understand....

You guys need to live in a state where trailer lights are optional

I haven’t had functional lights on the duck boat or atv trailer in at least 15 years.
