I like to cook, but Brothers forgive me, but the only food I used a charcoal grill for was hot dogs for my then stepdaughter. I would love to learn how to use a grill. Now my late brother would use his charcoal grill even in the winter! This year and as some of you all will cringe I’m gonna get a CHEAP charcoal grill and try some cooking I’ve read/seen on here! Oh and the reason on the cheap grill is because of the ‘Hood & I live in an apartment- no REAL security.

I love grilled lamb chops. Used to catch them on sale at Kroger pretty regularly. Rub some pesto on and grill rare over really hot coals. When he was little my son would chew the bones on his and ask for ours.
I bought some lamb chops & shoulder steaks on sale. I usually sprinkle some garlic sea salt & put them a baggie to “marinate” over night & CI grill pan, but as noted above will do the grilled ones this years!

Rent a bus, taken them all to a dive bar BBQ joint and have the BBQ owner teach them a 1 hour class on show / tell them on how to grill / smoke and then feed them lunch.

Read/skim Steven Raichlen's books "The Barbeque Bible" or "How To Grill" as outline guides for your class topics.
Include a quick guide to digital instant thermometers for temperature control (probably the most important part of grilling that rookies foul up).
