I took the course again with my 16 year old a few years ago. I have the card from the class. If you're heading to R.I. , unless their regulations have changed recently, you will need proof of a hunter safety course to get a non-resident license. A current license from another state is not considered proof. We hunted R.I. for a few years for the Sunday opportunity. I took the course in 1972 but Connecticut doesn't retain records that far back. I had to take a course to satisfy R.I. laws.
