I remember seeing rush hour traffic at 7am. Im going the other way with no traffic. I normally got off work around 2am then went to Pop's.

I gave up and let the birds, self seed "native Bermuda grass" on my lawns, what we commonly called "wiregrass" back in MI, that we tried to eradicate from farm fields.
Works wonders in highly erodible areas
Dang temps make it hard for fescue grasses here, with high n' dry temps and crabgrass takes over, with what small rains we do get when needed

But I still try and keep at least part of the lawn, "green" year round

Headed out soon, for 3-50's of 16-4-8 and gonna' throw 100#'s of Balan on fer' crabgrass, where the native Bermuda grass hasn't taken over yet and smothered the crabgrass out

So it seems someone in the South thought 50+ years ago….

That’s cheap. The good stuff in Middle Tennessee is $150 per 50lb bag.
