How common are giants. The three were flying together and weren’t around any of the other groups. I could have shot all 3 but I didn’t have my dog and was more intent on watching where this one would fall

Not real common anymore the true giants are being interbred with smaller races and the giant is slowly declining to extinction once they were thought gone as late as early 60's i have read before being rediscovered in a couple of areas

What Ed said. Used to be a Giant restoration effort. Birds from Jamestown ND or was it Rochester MN area (?) was the last pure strain back in the 80s I think. We brought some to KS. We call them Maxis. Used to get quite a few of them around Kirwin Ks. I haven't shot one for years. Dad got one last week with the full bar. We suspect some of the bloodlines from our flock almost 40 years ago.
