Lovely. Not much daylight up there right now eh?
Is that your place at the end? Happy new years Skeeter.

Thanks.
Our AK place is on a ridge, so mostly aspen forest and much warmer.
The Fairbanks daylength goes from a low of 3 hrs 42 minutes on the Winter Solstice to 10 hours the end of February.

That said, now that we are retired, we winter (renting) in MT, summer back home in AK.
That extends our hunting season into mid January, plus retriever training in the spring starts earlier.

Skeeter, are you back home yet? How was driving back thru Canada? Any issues with covid, ammo? Thinking about making the run back up in June. Thanks.

Not yet. Staying for excellent retriever training group down in MT.
Snow in interior AK may not be gone this year until May...

Beautiful. I miss it. I did three winters at Fort Wainwright. Used to hunt on the Minto Flats.

Can’t get wife to move back.

Late spring in interior Alaska. With days in the 40s and nights in upper 20s, may be a slow spring breakup.
