Is fall turkey season bad?

A lot of states reduced their limits last year and season because of the decline in turkey population, some don't have fall season at all..really interesting.

WV has had fall season ever since I was young, 2 gobbler limit.

Fall season was around way longer than any spring season.

Not many here will let you kill them now (land access). Predators are thriving. We have a giant pack of coyotes.

Coyotes are @ 1.5% of nest raiders, coons @ 85% and Possums @ 50% if I'm not mistaken.

Owls and hawks contribute to a lot more bird kills as well.

$200, get you a dozen dog proofs, 20 pound of cat food, fish oil, 14 gauge tie wire...better than anything you could do for turkeys, grouse or ducks.

Give them away, skin or eat them, coons eat well if fixed right, like minni bears

Calling racoons is a ball. They will come charging in. I use dog proof traps and dog food with grape jelly. Had bald eagles take one out of a trap a couple weeks ago.
