Was in one of our three super centers yesterday and went to the sporting goods section looking for a particular ammunition. There were no firearms in the display case so I asked the clerk if they had sold out during the recent surge. He replied that they had plenty of firearms but they along with all knives and most ammunition had been removed to storage in the back of the store. In other words, corporate (or local management) made the decision to deprive customers of the one asset they need to protect their families, homes and businesses.

Is this situation the same in your locale?

Just a thought but with all the looting from riots maybe they just moved them to a more discreet location.

I noticed empty gun cases at the one in Vandalia, Illinois (south central) two days ago.

No rioting in this town. The LGS(s) and Academy stores in Tulsa never missed a beat. Something else is in play.

Yes. All firearms removed and all ammunition under lock and key. When asked the response was “we are not able to sell you those items at this time”

Another employee mentioned they are pulling the scu’s and getting out of the gun business.
