This is no false start.....this is a pretty good push. In fact, judging from the numbers and the reports.....it's over. :l
The speck migration is always around the second week of October in my area. Told the boys 3 days ago, that we’re gonna see them after yesterday’s front. Like clockwork.

Never saw them but heard two flocks off in the distance this morning while having coffee on the back porch. They almost never hang around but it was nice to hear them.

Turkeys were raising cain this morning as well. Clucks, yelps, kee kee runs, this year's jakes learning how to bow up and gobble. They weren't very good at it, yet.
