Thanks for the list. I hadn’t gotten to it yet. Off the top of my head, I know I had added:

-Eurasian Teal
-Tule Goose (this one was a guess, but I’d be shocked if one was never taken here)
-Black Duck (I’d heard of at least one taken in WA)
-Richardson’s Canada Goose (but I think that’s the same as Cackling)
-American Coot
-Greater Snow Goose (again, a guess)
-Masked Duck (another guess)

I’ll need to go back and see what else I had on my list. I’m sure my “guesses” are mostly not legit.

Also, I thought Brewer’s was a mallard x gadwall hybrid, so I didn’t count it.

-Common Poachard was another one I thought I had heard of being taken in WA.

They are coming back to me slowly.
-I’d be surprised if a Tufted Duck was never taken in WA, with the amount of Scaup taken.

I also figured a Spectacled Eider had probably been shot at some point in WA.

-Stellar’s Eider was also one on my list I figured was a likely candidate.

Both barnacle and emperor geese were legal in the past; part of the general goose limit. A friend killed an emperor and have seen a barnacle a couple days prior to the opener.

Can confirm a black duck. In the mid 1980s there was a brood produced in the Snohomish delta. I suspect the parents were escapees from local breeder but they produced a brood of a dozen or so birds and over 2 season we killed 3.
